Classical gauge fields (Semesters 6-7)
This lecture course covers basic concepts of classical field theory and semiclassical methods in quantum field theory: the Lagrange formalism, symmetries and their relation to the mass spectrum (gauge invariance, Goldstone theorem, Higgs mechanism), solitons and instantons in field theoretical models.
